Harvard Artist Dan Borelli @danborelli and Worcester Polytechnic Scientist Marco Kaltofen @marcokaltofen are the keepers of a global radioactive zoo; collecting samples, objects, and stories from locally-based citizen-scientists.
We are combining our various field-based methods towards a set of content aimed at communicating nuclear specimens to a general audience.
Here's how we're going to achieve this.
Extracting Exotic data from mundane objects
Data Harvesting: Deploying Safecast devices
Ground Truthing: Mapping the spatial network of impact
Specimens: The zoo of radiological objects
Open Call: Globally sharing the Methodology & Data with other sites of concern
First Places of Inquiry: Plymouth Mass., America's Hometown; Fukushima, Japan; Emerging Nuclear States
